PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim welcomed SAPP’s bold move and its two MPs for standing up for the rights of the Sabahans. “I have had two discussions with Yong. The core issues at hand are those of good governance and dedication to the principles of accountability,” he said in a statement.
He reiterated that he would give 20% of oil royalty to Sabah, Sarawak, and Terengganu and fair representation if Pakatan Rakyat (which comprises PKR, DAP and PAS) came to power.
